Singapore Copytron Table Tennis League Championship 2016
The Singapore Copytron Table Tennis League Championship 2016 is proudly organised and sponsored by Copytron Table Tennis Club. It is a continuation of the last year Table Tennis Team Open Championship 2015 organised by Activesg.
This year, the 2016 league will be grouped in 4 Divisions. The results of the ActiveSg Table Tennis Team Open Championship 2015(14-15 Nov 2015) will be the basis for the division categorisation.
The top 24 teams that have completed the initial rounds from the ActiveSG Table Tennis Team Championship 2015 will be in Division 1, 2 & 3 respectively as follows. The 4th Division (Div 4) will be opened.

The 2016 League will be played in 2 events over the year, and the official Champion will be declared from the aggregate results.
Objectives
The Copytron Table Tennis Team Open League 2016 is organised with the following objectives:
- to have a mass participation from all levels of table tennis enthusiasts in Singapore;
- to allow a level playing field for teams/club/organisations to compete;
- to raise local table tennis standards and to discover local talents.

3. Registration Fess/Prizes
- The entry fee is for the entire year (2 league)
- The cash prizes will be awarded based on the aggregate results only.

4. Registration
- Registration can only be done online from 19th May 2016 through www.sttc.sg and payment can only be made through www.paypal.com to admin@sttc.sg.
- Please register an account with STTC, whereby you can log in and make changes to the team players before you submit. You are required to have a Paypal account in order to complete the registration. Please take note that once payment is done, submitted list cannot be changed. For further changes after submission/payment is done, please contact webadmin@sttc.sg for assistance.
- Late, unclear and incomplete forms will NOT be accepted.
- Registration fee paid will not be refundable.

- All original team names are allowed to carry a sponsored name. E.g ATT is a sponsor to KTS Sports Club (original name), then ATT-KTS Sports Club is allowed, but they are not allowed to change the name entirely from KTS Sports Club to others.

5. Eligibility of Players
- The competition is open to all residents living in Singapore regardless of gender, race, age and nationality, with the exception of the following groups of personnel:
- Full Time Employment National athletes.
- Singapore Table Tennis Association (STTA) coaches, sparring trainers and players.
- Local & Foreign Semi and Professional Players.
- Players on entry permit passes, visitors’ pass and Tourists.
- The players who played in 2015 have been categorised in the respective divisions listed in Annex B. The players who did not register in 2015 are ungraded players and are opened to register to play in any divisions.
- All Players are only allowed to register with ONE club/team.
- For players listed in Annex B, they are allowed to register and play at a higher or same division, but NOT allowed to register at a lower division. Players listed in Annex B can ONLY allow to play at a lower division at the following year if he/she did not register for this year. There is no restriction for the listed players to play at higher divisions but there is restriction for the listed player to play at the lower division.
- Example Player A in Division 2 can register in Division 1 or 2 club/team but not Division 3 club/team in 2016. Player A can only be allowed to downgrade to play lower division 3 for the following year if he/she did not register in 2016.
6. Tournament System
- A team must comprise of a minimum seven (7) and maximum fourteen (14) players and no repetition of players is allowed in the same game.
- Each participant can only register for one (1) team.
- All players will be requested to produce their Identity Card/Student Pass for verification during the competition failing which they will not allowed to play.
- The team match system consists of three (3) Single matches and two (2) Double matches.
- The competition shall run in accordance with the latest rules and regulations of the International Table Tennis Federation (ITTF). Rules and regulations of the ITTF can be downloaded from www.ittf.com.
- The ITTF approved 3-star 40+ white ball will be used during the competition.
- No white apparels (shirt and shorts) are allowed. The Organizer reserves the right to disqualify players who fail to conform.
- All Doubles pairs must wear the same colour of attire.
- All match-fixing is illegal and the team involved will be disqualified.
- The Organising Committee reserves the right to amend the rules and regulations of the competition at any time without prior notification. Any other rules that are not covered by the Rules and Regulations will be decided by the Organising Committee, whose decision will be final.
- No refund of registration fees will be entertained.
- The Organizing Committee reserves the right to cancel the competition if there is a short of entries. If the competition is cancelled, registration fees will be refunded.
- All prize winners MUST be present in person with proper sports attire (no singlet, slippers and sandals). In the event that the prize winners do not turn up during the prize presentation ceremony, the prize, medals/trophies will not be awarded.
- Umpires will be provided throughout the matches.
- Division 4 will be opened to all teams for registration who does not fall under Division 1, 2 & 3.
- In the event that the team who qualify for the Division 1, 2 or 3 but does not register for the event, this vacancy will be filled up by the next qualified team.
- All new team will only be allowed to register from Division 4 or whichever is the lowest division in the subsequent years.
- Teams may include all men or women players.
- Players who are registered with the team will only be allowed to play for the team throughout the year, no transfers are allowed.
- The team is allowed to add, remove or replace players 3 weeks before the league starts provided that the players must not be played in any other teams during the season. The organising committee must be notified officially through email webadmin@sttc.sg for verification and approval.
- During competition, the team is not allowed to add, remove and replace players.
- The league, for all Divisions except Division 4, will be played in a round-robin, i.e all teams will play with each other.
- Division 1,2 & 3 will play 2 leagues and division 4 will play 1 league.
- After the 2 leagues, the new season will begin with the following:
- The top 6 teams from Division 1 will remain and the bottom of table 2 teams will be relegated to Division 2.
- The top 2 teams from Division 2 will be promoted to Division 1. The 3rd-6th position of Division 2 will remain and the bottom of table 2 teams will be relegated to Division 3.
- The top 2 teams from Division 3 will be promoted to Division 2. The 3rd-6th position of Division 3 will remain and the bottom of table 2 teams will be relegated to Division 4.
- The maximum number if Teams in Division D will be capped at the discretion of the committee.

- The following scoring system shall apply:
- 2 points for a win, 1 point for a loss, 0 point for conceding a walk-over.
- In the event of two or more teams of the group have gained the same number of Team match points, the ratios of wins to losses shall apply to determine the order.
- The 8 teams in the respective Division 1, 2 & 3, will be played in a round-robin.
7. Ranking System
- Ranking system is based on 1 calendar year cumulative system.
- Ranking points are awarded on the basis of the final positions for each season. There will be 2 seasons i.e Jul and Dec and the aggregate points of all the 2 seasons will determine the final teams ranking.
8. Fixtures
- An open draw of tournament fixtures will be conducted.

Time: 7pm - Any discrepancy or omission of entries must be brought up to the attention of the Organising Committee by 8th Jul 2016, 12:00noon.
- Fixtures and match schedules will be displayed on sttc.sg from 15th Jul 2016 onwards. Kindly take note that it is the responsibility of the team manager to check for the latest competition fixture and schedule.
9. Prizes Presentation
- The Prize Presentation Ceremony will be held immediately after the 2nd league of the events.
- All prize winners MUST be present personally at the ceremony in neat attire (no singlet, slippers and sandals) in order to receive the prize. The Organizing Committee reserves the right not to award the prize money and trophy if the above mentioned regulations are not adhered to.
10. General
- The Organizing Committee reserves the right to interpret or amend the rules and regulations of the Championships at any time without prior notification. Any other rules that are not covered by the Rules and Regulations will be decided by the Organising Committee, whose decision will shall be FINAL.
- All players are required to produce their Identity Card or Student Pass for verification of their nationality and age.
- By agreeing to participate in this tournament, you are granting the organising committee permission to use your / your children’s pictures for promotional and publicities purposes.
